Peek at Week: Pumpkins

Last week was one of the busiest weeks of the school year. Field Trip and Fall Fest all the same week. Yup, that means there is one tired teacher sitting on this couch. I was the coordinator for our Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch and we had such an amazing time!!! After a few minor bus mishaps (one teacher forgetting money and turning around, a few wrong turns, getting lost, and almost crashing into the other bus) we made it safely to the Pumpkin Patch for a jam packed day of pumpkin fun!

Then Friday was the Fall Fest. I wish I took more pictures but being co-chair of the Fall Fest, I was running around all day like a chicken with my head cut off. So needless to say, pictures didn’t happen. But I will try to round up some photos for you to see. It was an awesome western day! Here are a few murals that our amazing art teacher made! She is so talented!

We also had a “jail” so students could pay to lock their teachers in jail for a few minutes. This was a huge hit!
So when we were not running all over the place, we managed to squeeze in a few fun spider activities this week!
Find the missing letter from Caitlin Clabby.
 Spider Headbands from Deanna Jump
We also did some fun Spider experiments from Deanna Jump’s Science Pack.
We learned how spiders do not stick to their own webs.

Then we learned how Spiders eat their prey! These were a huge hit! They were so excited to pretend to be spiders!

We also made spider books to share what we have learned this week!

We also created our new Spider Flippy Flaps!
